We wanted to share some profiles for our recent 2020 Graduates. Congrats to these new Kappa Alumni!

Will Lusk, Kappa, Class of 2020

1. Did you hold any positions in the fraternity, if so which?

My positions in Chi Phi included President, Alumni Relations Chair, and Accreditation Chair.

2. What was the most important thing you learned from being a part of Chi Phi?

Chi Phi probably had the biggest impact on who I am now compared to who I was before joining. It made me understand the value of friendship, helped shape me into a better leader, and gave me great memories that I will never forget.

3. What’s your favorite Chi Phi memory?

My favorite Chi Phi memory is my first THON. It was great getting to know the Brothers and representing Chi Phi.

4. What are your plans post-graduation?

I will be starting as an Audit Associate at KPMG in Pittsburgh in the Fall 2021. Until then, I will be focused on studying and passing the CPA exam.

Patrick Ryan, Kappa, Class of 2020

1. Did you hold any positions in the fraternity, if so which?

I got to hold the position of Risk Manager, Risk Management Chair, and be involved with the rush committee.

2. What was the most important thing you learned from being a part of Chi Phi?

During freshman year, I didn’t really know many people at Penn State since I came from out-of-state. One day, I walked into Chi Phi for their Zone Day during rush and ever since, it has made for the best friendships, connections, and unforgettable memories. Chi Phi really strives to create better men and has developed me into the person I am today. I know that at any time, if I ever needed something, I could reach out to any Brother and they’d be happy to help.

3. What’s your favorite Chi Phi memory?

My favorite memory at Chi Phi was going on a spring break cruise with a group of Brothers down to the Bahamas for almost a week.

4. What are your plans post-graduation?

I am currently looking for a full-time position around information technology and project management.

Jared Puzo, Kappa, Class of 2020

1. Did you hold any positions in the fraternity, if so which?

In the fraternity I was the Social Chair as well as the Greek Week Chair. Outside of the fraternity I was the IFC Director of Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness.

2. What was the most important thing you learned from being a part of Chi Phi?

From Chi Phi I learned that there are a lot of different people who come to Penn State and some of the best friends you can have can come from either the same hometown as you or a few states away.

3. What’s your favorite Chi Phi memory?

My favorite Chi Phi memory is the night of our Brotherhood Bonfire. This night was when I felt closest to my pledge class and Brothers while we got to sit around outside on a nice spring night and just relax and talk to everyone and be ourselves.

4. What are your plans post-graduation?

Post-graduation, I applied to be a Naval Officer and am waiting for the selection boards to convene. I hope to serve in the US Navy for a few years then move to more government work in either the FBI or CIA.

Nick Lopapa, Kappa, Class of 2020

1. Did you hold any positions in the fraternity, if so which?

I held positions as the Assistant Social Chair and Greek Week Chair. I was also a part of the rush committee for a couple semesters.

2. What was the most important thing you learned from being a part of Chi Phi?

I think the most important thing I learned from being a part of Chi Phi is that the best way to grow as a person is to go out of your comfort zone and take risks.

3. What’s your favorite Chi Phi memory?

I think my favorite Chi Phi memory is the Spring 2017 semester when I pledged. I feel like I grew really close to some of the guys I’m now proud to call my best friends over the course of that semester.

4. What are your plans post-graduation?

I recently started a job as an office administrator at a therapeutics clinic. I hope to eventually go back to school and obtain my masters in Healthcare Administration.
