Dear Brothers of Chi Phi, Alpha Delta:



We hope everyone had a great Father's Day weekend and your families showered you with gifts, praise, food, and lots of rest and relaxation. Okay, if you are like most of us, you would have been happy with just the R & R!



Our beloved house at 360 E. Hamilton is secured and closed for the summer, but lots is still going on behind the scenes. Brother Aaron Gustkey, our chapter adviser, has worked tirelessly on minor repairs, tweaks to the renovation and working with the active members on making sure the house is in tip-top shape for their second year inhabiting our renovated home come August. Thanks, Aaron!



On a separate note, the Class of 1964 came back for their 50-year Reunion on May 8-10. Brother Ron Carpenter took the initiative in putting together the reunion and did a tremendous job. Fifteen brothers returned from as far away as California for the three-day reunion that included hotel stays and golf at Toftrees, trips to campus, dinners and of course events at the house. Needless to say, the class members that made the trip back were very impressed with the condition of our home and the renovation.



When the house renovation project was completed and the grand opening was held on August 3, 2013, there were a couple of items still on our "wish list" that had to be deferred due to budget constraints. Retiling the Party Room ("Tube Room") floor was one of those items and it now needs to be replaced sooner rather than later.



Well, in typical Chi Phi fashion, the Class of 1964 has taken it upon themselves to fund this project! The estimated cost to replace the ceramic tile is between $6,000 and $7,000. We are pleased to report that as of this date, $2,700 in written pledge forms have already been received towards the project.  



We want to thank the brothers of 1964 who completed a pledge form and donated to this project. They are:

Ken Jacobsen- $400

Anthony Monaco- $400



In addition, four more brothers from the class of 1964 have recently made verbal commitments to the project as of today! We'll update everyone with their pledge commitments as soon as we receive them. That would be 9 out of the 21 brothers from this class that will have contributed!



In the meantime, we hope that the other 12 members strongly consider joining their brothers to make this project a reality. The plan is to have this project completed in time for the August move-in.
