Tradition

Chi Phi fraternity was founded in 1824 and is known as the "oldest men's college fraternity" in existence. The fraternity exists for the "betterment of collegiate men." The Alpha Delta (Penn State) chapter has been in existence since 1911. Since then, the chapter has had a long standing tradition of upholding the values of truth, honor, and personal integrity by building men.

Brotherhood

As a Chi Phi , you are exposed to a diverse group of men who share the same ideals of brotherhood. By joining Chi Phi, you will belong to a global network of hardworking individuals, broaden your cultural awareness, and build bonds that will last a lifetime.

Most graduate knowing a lot of people, but with very few friends they can trust. Our brotherhood provides you the opportunity to build lifelong friendships with men you can call your brother.

Leadership

A main attribute to joining Chi Phi are the opportunities for you to develop your leadership skills. The fraternity has a lot of opportunities for its members to develop their leadership skills. Whether it be a position in the fraternity, your new member class, leadership events, on-campus positions, off-campus positions, etc. you will have the opportunity to develop in the leader you want to see.

Community Service & Philanthropy

Chi Phi fraternity believes in giving back to the community. We have opportunities year-round for brothers to give back to the fraternity. Whether it is working at the local food-bank, volunteering at a nursing home, adopt-a-highway, fundraising for RAINN, or canning for THON, you will have the opportunity to make an impact.
